Research compound supplied in Australia by Pulse Biolabs for laboratory use. Available in 10mg.
VIP is a peptide messenger found in the gut, blood vessels and nervous system. Its research history asks how one signal can carry different meanings in different tissues.
VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) is a 28-amino-acid signalling peptide first isolated from intestinal tissue. It is one of the messengers the gut, blood vessels, immune cells and the brain's daily clock have in common, and it is studied to understand how one signal is reused across those systems. Evidence includes mouse and cell studies of the gut lining and circadian rhythm, and human trials of the synthetic form, aviptadil, in pulmonary hypertension and COVID-19 respiratory failure.

No batch-specific test report is currently published for this product. What a report does and does not show.
Supplied as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Store sealed and protected from light at the conditions stated on the product label or supplied specification. Solvent choice, concentration and handling after reconstitution depend on the compound and on the laboratory’s own procedures, and are not specified here.
No Australian registration for VIP or aviptadil as a medicine was identified, and the Australian scheduling position for this specific product has not been confirmed. Overseas, aviptadil with phentolamine (Invicorp) is licensed in the United Kingdom for erectile dysfunction by intracavernosal injection. The TESICO trial in the United States did not support its use in COVID-19 respiratory failure.
